Data

View the current MATLAB workspace in the Data area. The area updates after you click Execute to run a query. Variables shown include the MATLAB Workspace Variable you assigned for the query. To clear variables from the Data area, use the clear function in the Command Window.

To see a variable's contents, do one of the following:

• Double-click that variable name in the Data area. It appears in the MATLAB Array Editor, where you can view or edit it.

  

• Type the variable name at the prompt in the Command Window. The variable's contents appear in the Command Window.

  

About Imported Data

• When imported data contains the Java OTHER data type and is empty, it is because Java cannot pass the data through the JDBC/ODBC bridge.
• Query results are stored as a cell array, numeric matrix, or structure, depending on the preferences you specified. For more information about working with cell arrays, see Working with Cell Arrays in MATLAB. For more information about working with structures, see MATLAB Data Types in the MATLAB documentation.
• Exported data sends NULLs for the NULL values defined using preferences.
