Figure Objects

Figure graphics objects are the windows in which MATLAB displays graphics. Figure properties enable you to control many aspects of these windows, such as their size and position on the screen, the coloring of graphics objects displayed within them, and the scaling of printed pictures.

This section discusses some of the features that are implemented through figure properties and provides examples of how to use these features. The table in the figure reference page listing all properties provides an overview of the characteristics affected by figure properties.
