Image Processing Toolbox 5.0.2 Release Notes

This chapter provides information about the new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and known issues in the Image Processing Toolbox Version 5, Version 5.0.1, and 5.0.2 releases. Version 5 was released as a Web download after Release 14. Version 5.0.1 was released with Release 14 Service Pack 1. Version 5.0.2 was released with Release 14 Service Pack 2.


New Features	Provides brief descriptions of the major new features added to the toolbox in Version 5.
Enhancements and Changes to Existing Features	Describes changes and new features added to existing toolbox functions.
Major Bug Fixes	Describes major bug fixes in the last two releases.
Upgrading from an Earlier Release	Describes issues you might encounter upgrading from a previous release.
Known Issues	Describes known problems with this release.

New Features

Version 5 of the Image Processing Toolbox, released as a Web download in August 2004, includes the following new features:

Open-architecture image exploration and enhancement tool
Modular interactive tools for image exploration and manipulation that can also be combined into custom applications
Texture analysis functions
Hough Transform functions
ICC profile export
Additional int16 and single support
Two new IPT demos

Version 5.0.1

Version 5.0.1 of the Image Processing Toolbox, included with Release 14 Service Pack 1, includes some minor bug fixes -- see Bug Fixes in Version 5.0.1.

Version 5.0.2

Version 5.0.2 of the Image Processing Toolbox, included with Release 14 Service Pack 2, includes many bug fixes -- see Bug Fixes in Version 5.0.2.
