Vector Definition - Target Vector Definition

These parameters define the line segment that occurs after the windowed transition. As a convenience, the time axis is defined to be zero at the end of the initial vector and the transition period is 1, so the target vector begins at t = 1. Thus, these parameters define the position for the time t > 1:

• x₂ -- position at time t = 1. This is the first point in the target vector.

• v₂ -- velocity of the target vector. This is the slope (first derivative) of the final line segment.

• Therefore, , for t > 1.
